FNCuma is proud to announce that Veronique Lucas, who did her research project on the French Farm machinery cooperatives, has awarded the Prize of the “Best early career researcher paper” during the 2019 Congress of the European Society for Rural Sociology (ESRS).

Place-based cooperation among farms is recognized as an effective way to contribute to the agroecological transition. Heterogeneity among farmers can be a significant obstacle to this type of cooperation, however. This article, based on a study of French farm machinery cooperatives (CUMA), examines how farmers interact with heterogeneous peers and find ways to work together despite their differences.   […]
